A Day We Never Take for Granted
Every year on May 15, our nation pauses to remember the men and women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Flags fly at half-staff. Families gather. Communities reflect. And those who continue to wear the badge carry forward a weight that words can rarely capture.
At ALEAP, we hold this day close to our hearts. The work of accreditation is, at its core, about honoring the profession, building agencies that are prepared, accountable, and worthy of the trust placed in them by the communities they serve. We believe that upholding high standards is one of the most meaningful ways we can pay tribute to those who came before and gave everything.
To the families of fallen officers: your loved ones are not forgotten. Their sacrifice shaped the profession and the people who serve in it today.
To Arizona’s law enforcement community: thank you for showing up to every shift, every call, every day.
